Ordering Information

Ordering a portrait is very simple, all I'll need from you is -

A clear photograph - this can either be emailed or sent by post.

Size - I'll also need to know what size drawing you'd like. Large sizes may depend on the quality and detail of the photograph. See the prices page for a list of standard sizes.

Medium - The choice is between graphite pencil and coloured pencl.

Photographs

The better the photo the better the portrait will be, so it's important to send a nice clear photo. I like to see more than one photo to help with reference, but I will be copying directly from one photograph.

The best portraits are the ones where the photo has been taken from the level of the dog, so bear that in mind and go down to the dog's level while you're photographing him/her. Also, photographs taken in natural light are best as the colouring will be the most true. If you have digital photos, the larger I can see them the better, so please email the original file size.

If your dog is no longer with us and your only photos are small or not very detailed, please send them anyway as I may still be able create a portrait for you.

Timescales

The time it will take me to complete a portrait will typically be around 3 - 4 weeks, depending on the size.

Christmas orders fill up quite quickly, so please book nice and early.

If you need a portrait finishing quickly for a certain time, please let me know in advance.

Confirmation and Payment

When you have sent me your photos, I'll get back to you to confirm the order if your photo is suitable.

I ask for payment upfront, but this is refundable if you are not happy with the portrait. I'll email you a photo of the finished portrait before I post it. No refund will be made once it has been posted.

Payment can be made by PayPal using either your credit/debit card or your paypal account. Alternatively, if you're in the U.K. you can pay by cheque. Please make cheques payable to Jane Beharrell.

Delivery

Portaits are sent by Special Delivery to UK addresses. Overseas orders are sent by Airsure or International Signed for.
